About Lucie

I’ll never forget watching Father of the Bride for the first time. It was everything a little girl dreams her wedding could be: classic, timeless, elegant and lovely. As I’ve built Lucie Design Studio, the vision I keep in my mind is that feeling of walking into a gorgeous wedding reception where love engages all of your senses, and I try to bring that feeling into the invitations and wedding stationery I design. The invitation suite is the first thing your guests see, so it should convey the essence of your event and give a hint of what’s to come.   

As I went through college and started working full time, I’d always find a way to get back to graphic design and being as creative as I could possibly be. Being a wedding stationery designer is an absolute dream come true. The idea that I can be a part of crafting a dream ever after for brides is so special and wonderful to me, and I couldn’t be more honored to bring your vision to life. I see every elegant watercolor bridal shower invitation I create as an opportunity to bring a bride's vision to life.  

I started Lucie to make the world around us beautiful, which to me also means caring for and supporting our environment. When you purchase an invitation set or an art print set from Lucie Design Studio, you are also planting a tree. I work with One Tree Planted to plant trees in the United States National Forest.  

Growing up, I would watch I Love Lucy with my grandmother, Sofia, who could always see the true beauty and the very best of the world around her. When I decided to start a stationery shop, I wanted the name to be motivating and inspiring, so I decided to name my shop after my grandmother's favorite leading lady, Lucille Ball. Lucie represents an old soul, a woman who wants to make things special, who doesn't mind taking an extra step if it means making a memory. She's a woman who sees the positivity in the world and wants to make the world around her beautiful.  

When I'm not designing elegant watercolor bridal shower invitations, I am playing board games with my husband and three kids, watching classic 80s and 90s rom coms, and reading romance novels.
